Murals
A mural is any piece of artwork painted or applied directly on a wall, ceiling or other large permanent surface. A distinguishing characteristic of mural painting is that the architectural elements of the given space are harmoniously incorporated into the picture.
Medallions
Ceiling medallions are classic ceiling accents and are used extensively by decorators, designers and architects. With their rich detailing and ornate, deep relief patterns, ceiling medallions were added to the most principal rooms of the house.
Faux Finishing
Faux painting or faux finishing are terms used to describe decorative paint finishes that replicate the appearance of materials such as marble, wood or stone. In modern day faux finishing, there are two major materials/processes used. Glaze work involves using a translucent mixture of paint and glaze applied with a brush, roller, rag, or sponge.
